Certifications

Under EU standard (EN 12566-3:2005+A1:2009) for packaged and/or site assembled treatment plants used for domestic wastewater treatment up to 50 PT, an independent recognized laboratory must conduct a series of tests to comply with the standard as recognized by the EU. Ireland has adopted these standards as of 2010 and all August BioPro Wastewater Treatment Plants are compliant.

The Veolia Advantage

Veolia is the largest water treatment company in the world. From their headquarters in France, they provide global solutions to the management and treatment of waste. In keeping with their level of expertise, Veolia has come up with a higher set of standards applicable to packaged and/or site assembled treatment plants used for domestic wastewater treatment up to 50 PT. Ever ready to meet or exceed the demands of the client, August BioPro Waste Water Treatment systems are tested under these conditions.

The level of testing is as follows;

• Four (4) weeks for system start-up (stabilization of biological process)at the design flow rate.
• Twelve (12) weeks at design flow rate.
• Four (4) weeks at design flow rate from Monday to Thursday, and at 2x design flow rate for the other 3 days. This condition reflects typical high occupancy during weekends (frequent condition in secondary homes).
• Three (3) weeks at 2x design flow rate (overloading conditions for high-occupancy conditions)
• Three (3) weeks at zero flow to simulate holidays.
• Two (2) weeks at design flow rate from Monday to Thursday, and at 2x design flow rate for the other 3 days.
• Four (4) weeks at design flow rate.
• Two (2) weeks at 50% of design flow rate (low occupancy conditions).
• Six (6) weeks at design flow rate with 3 days of power failure (one every 2 weeks).

August BioPro Waste Water Sytems met or exceeded the levels and a report is available upon request. When comparing the units with different manufacturers please ensure that the Veolia water standard was used and it is clearly marked on the CE documentation. PIA is a recognized independent laboratory certified to test and approve packaged and/or site assembled treatment plants used for domestic wastewater treatment up to 50 PT for the EU standard (EN 12566-3:2005+A1:2009).
